Former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin is releasing a new book published by Harper-Collins and titled, ‘America by Heart; Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag.’ According to the publishers, the book is bound to read like a bible of American virtues for those interested in the truths at the heart of the nation.

Oracle Wins Big Verdict over SAP

A California court ordered SAP, the German software corporation to pay their US rivals Oracle $1.3 billion in a data theft case that has been raging since March 2007. The case was based on Oracle’s claim that a subsidiary of SAP, TomorrowNow, had stolen customer support documents and software.
The plaintiff company claimed that SAP had the intention of using the collected information to poach the more than 300 customers involved. It demanded $1.65 billion in compensation amidst protests by SAP that it was only entitled to $40 million.

Ingrid Pitt, the stunning actress who is synonymous with horror movies died in a hospital after she collapsed a few days earlier. The 73-year old who many regarded as the queen of Hammer horror films passed away in South London in what her daughter, Stephanie Blake, described as an immense shock to the family. A scientific team in Netherlands has developed a method for estimating a suspect’s age using blood residue left at a crime scene. This profiling method is available for immediate use so as to provide crime investigators with useful leads.

Mexican Convicted for Human Smuggling and Sex Trafficking in Atlanta

In the latest blow to the fight against sex slavery, Amador Cortez-Meza was convicted by a federal jury on 19 counts of sex trafficking and human slavery. The 36-year old Mexican was said to have smuggled girls from Mexico to Atlanta in the state of Georgia through bus drivers.
