Tom Bosley, popularly known as Mr. C, passed away today morning in a hospital in Palm Springs, Calif. His age was 83. He is best known for his role as the loving dad, Mr. Cunningman, in the hit television series “Happy Days” where he acted for 11 long years.
Bosley had for long been acting as the loving father of Ron Howard who was extremely disappointed when he heard the news. Bosley is said to have been suffering from lung cancer.
Before his role of Mr. C, he had also played some other roles and acted in other series as well. He has also featured as a solving priest in “The Father Dowling Mysteries” and the musical story of New York City mayor Fiorello LaGuardia titled “Fiorello!”. He also was part of the Jennifer Lopez comedy “The Back Up Plan” released this year and was active, fit and healthy till almost the last days of his life.
Ron Howard, who played the role of Richie Cunningham described Bosley as a great father and family man and expressed how much he was devastated at the loss and missed his onscreen dad. He also praised the acting skills, comic timings, strength of character and amazing sense of humour of the man who had created a new image of a kindly father.
Bosley had made two prominent appearances in Utah. He appeared in “Touched By an Angel” in 2002 which was made in Utah and then produced “ On Golden Pond” in
