![]() Toshiba laptop Toshiba, one of the oldest laptop manufacturers has recently called off over 41,000 notebooks due to overheating issue reported by users in the power adapter inlet. The lightweight notebooks of model Satellite T135, Satellite T135D and Satellite ProT130 are getting overheated at the AC power adapter point in the laptop and detected as possible fire hazard cause by the Product Safety Commission in the US who got reports from T Series Laptop users for overheating and minor incidents due to this issue. These laptop models are from compact Satellite series of Toshiba which were introduced since the last August of 2009. This recent incident brought into light the main problem with laptop manufacturers who are making the laptop burn prone in endeavor to add more hardware into a small thin area where the airflow is insufficient and hence causing overheating even after a minimal time of operation. HP and Sony started the symptoms with recalling their laptop models and now Toshiba joined the list along with them. Toshiba is trying to regain their reputation by launching a new BIOS which users have to download and install. This BIOS will detect if the laptop may cause overheating and if so, then it will disable charging through AC Power adapter and will display message to contact Toshiba for repair free of cost.
