The fact that many top officials, military officers, and even celebrities own the iPad this was a major concern. According to GoatSec Security, the actions that they take part in don’t result in any form of violation against AT&T or iPad users. They believe the problem though is that the information wasn’t encrypted on the end of the AT&T network like it should be. They have sense taken action to prevent such an event from occurring again. For those consumers that have the iPad, they are likely wondering if their information was among those files. Some experts believe that everyone with an iPad needs to take the stand that their personal information has been accessed. There is no risk of it occurring though as AT&T has taken appropriate action swiftly to prevent it. However, AT&T representatives want to inform iPad users that it has only been their e-mail address that was hacked. Their personal account information has not been accessed in any way, shape, or form. They are also working with local law enforcement to find out who is responsible for their system being hacked into. Image Credit: |
