Singer Alicia Keys has given birth to a baby boy. She welcomed her child with her husband Swizz Beatz, a music producer and a rapper. The 14th October birthday makes the boy a Libra.
The couple had married on July 31st after their announcement in May that they were expecting their first child. The 29 year old singer Keys is having her first child while the fourth for the 31 year old overjoyed father Beatz, whose birth name is Kaseem Dean. Beatz already has three children from his past relationships. The couple have named their baby to be Egypt Dean.
Keys gave birth to her son on Thursday night in New York in St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. This came as a bit of a surprise because her due date was sometime in November.
Father Beatz was extremely happy about his first legal offspring with Alicia. Even her sister, Mary Blige was very excited with the news and she was present herself to welcome her brother’s son to his home. Both of them took time off to express their feelings on the social networking site, Twitter. Beatz tweeted with the message of being thankful to everyone and everything that has happened in his life and was having out of the world feelings at the moment. Sister Blige also expressed her joy at the news and sent her congratulations to the new mother Keys.
