Allstate’s ‘X the TXT’ Team Initiative Is Partnering with the Jonas Brothers

TEXT WHILE DRAVING The Jonas Brother’s softball tour, Road Dogs, is partnering with Allstate’s X the TXT social initiative. The initiative is geared towards teenagers to show the dangers of texting on cell phones while driving. They are hoping families will pledge not to drive and text. There will be a twelve city tour heading to Long Beach, California where ball will be played by the Road Dogs supporting the cause. Sunday, September 19th, the game will be held at LBSU’s Blair Field. The Road Dogs will be playing the Marquis Jet Flyers. There is no charge for admission and starting at 10:00 am today, you can get tickets at Walter Pyramid Ticket Office located at 1250 Bellflower Boulevard. Gates will open at 11:00 am to the public and around 12:15 the game will commence. Fans at the game can make the pledge by using their thumbprint that will be placed on a banner that is traveling nationwide with the team. There will also be thumb bands given that say, “TXTNG KLLS”. Car crashes are the number one killer of teenagers and over forty nine percent admitted instant messaging and texting distracted them from paying attention to the road.
