One of the leading online stores is offering enviable offers this festive season to its buyers. This time
it is Amazon .com. Conventionally Black Friday is celebrated following Thanksgiving, which allows
shoppers to heavy discounts to buy their favorite products. This time round, Amazon has decided
to start this enormous tradition of shopping to the UK, giving its buyers access to some of the finest
gadgets, jewellery, books, apparel cds etc. However, black Friday this year, will be extended for the
whole week starting Monday November 22nd. Experts estimate there will a lot more on the offering
this year as the sale will continue for a whole week.

Following the introduction of black Friday in UK, there have been reports of some unsatisfied
customers who claim, that their favorite items online, are sold out too soon. Some buyers are
also annoyed with the fact that articles which are listed for black Friday sale are not being made
available to them. Reason being, the site freezes too often, barring them from completing their
transactions. Managing director of Amazon, UK commented that Susan Boyle’s “The gift” and
another album “Take that’s progress” were exhausted of stocks within seconds of being advertised.

November 22nd has been tagged as “maniac Monday” in UK, following a remarkable 29% rise
in sales than last year. Many other online-stores like John Lewis and Waitrose, two significant
chains of retailers in the UK has followed the footsteps of Amazon to share the joys of shopping at
Thanksgiving for British nationals.
