The news from Tempe Arizona is that the Cardinals’ Beanie Wells, running back, went through arthroscopic surgery on the right knee. This was after the NFL star had been injured in the last preseason game, an issue that had remained Cardinals’ secret. Ken Whisenhunt, the Cardinals coach confirmed on 24 of September that Wells had undergone a surgery, claiming the procedure was not very serious and the running back might be back fast, with the surgery being done to repair Wells’ torn meniscus. The injury issues came up after some incision marks had been found on the knees of Wells. With what the Cardinal’s termed as bruised knee, Wells did not play the first NFL season’s games. He is still questionable for the Sunday opener against Oakland although the coach was positive Wells could play. Cardinals: Wells Really Fit? However, Whisenhunt failed to mention Wells injury as he made his usual regular coach’s post practice availability. Nevertheless, he confirmed the surgery later on, claiming that “it was not like a normal procedure where you are down X amount of weeks” but “a day to day thing.” In fact, the coach confirmed that they did not take at as serious; though it kept him from playing every week, but wanted to make sure it was checked out all the same. The NFL star only commented about the surgery after finding out the coach has confirmed it. Wells said he was not worried about the people realizing it or not, and he had his knee scoped with the procedure taking place and he took “some time off” but has returned. Image Credit: |
