If DST or Daylight Savings Time is too bothersome for you, spring for an atomic clock. They are auto-adjust smart clocks that work like computers, and change time twice annually . The hip hop band creating a buzz is Zion 1 with their new album titled ‘Atomic Clock’. Launched in 2000, they have six full length albums to their credit so far, and their latest offering is due on November 9. Fans are waiting with bated breath for the new album which promises to be even more innovative and quirky than their music till date. They have sure timed their aptly titled album right with DST 2010 getting over and atomic clocks being in currency for their speeding up and time dilation procedures. Hope the “Atomic Clock”album is as good as these high precision timing device are. Band member duo Amp Live and Baba Zumbi are famed for their brutally honest lyrics. The inspiration for their seventh album is Max Romeo and The Congos. The “Atomic Clock” album promises to be a new milestone for Zion 1, who have roped in guest artists Crystal Monee Hall and Courtney Holiday. Also featuring are reggae band Rebelution, together with Macklemore and Locksmith. The 2009 album by Zion was the party-hard ‘The Takeover’, with a snazzy, frothy and frivolous feel. But “Atomic Clock” is more brooding and introspective, as is even cult hero Superman nowadays with a grungy moody look. The Zion say “Atomic Clock” is in tune with the time warp we live in, with parallel universes that intersect and cleave apart. And we thought it was just about “spring forward, fall behind” adjustments. Image Credit: |
