Aung San Suu Kyi Release Earns Praise From US President Obama

It seems to be a great day for Burma. One of the greatest politicians of Burma, Aung San Suu Kyi, has been released today, November 13, 2010. The great leader of the National League for Democracy, who was under house arrest for more than a decade, is finally free. The news of Aung San Suu Kyi release has received positive responses from different political leaders of the world.
According to the reports, US President Barack Obama, who has been one of the advocates of the Aung San Suu Kyi’s release, praised the decision. In his speech, the US President talked about the great steps that she had taken for establishing a complete democratic system in the country. Barack Obama who was delighted to hear the news said, Aung San Suu Kyi, has made great efforts to bring a radical change in Burma [now Myanmar].
Praising the democratic icon, President Obama said that he has always considered Aung San Suu Kyi as his hero. The president also said that she should be the inspiration for anyone who wants to bring some developments in the human rights condition of the country.
The news of Aung San Suu Kyi’s release has not only been greeted by President Obama but also it has received applauses from the United Nations. According to the official sources, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, in his response to this news, said Aung San Suu Kyi to be “an inspiration” for the whole world. Reports also indicate that the neighboring countries of Myanmar expect to see some political changes after the release of the great leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
