With the Halloween weekend just getting over and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ contenders ushering in luxe dance sessions, the craze for ballroom dancing is back with a vengeance. The 200th edition on November 1 boasted of a a cha cha dance shimmy on the ballroom floor. With the celeb shake up act getting a thumbs up, other shows like Strictly Come Dancing hade made sure that the ballroom has just got a whole new lease of life.

Ballroom dancing is a great way to get an enviably toned body and impress your crush, instead of sweating it out in the gym. If yoga studios are way too sedate for you, sign in for ballroom dancing classes and set the social scene on fire.

The web is abuzz with instructions and tips from those who have been there done that. So suck in your tummy, and chin up for that perfect poise on the dance floor. Famed ballroom dancers say that the professional scene for women is immensely sexist and just like a ballet dancer, you have for starve for that petite dimunitive body. The scene also gets bitchy and sabotage prone when push comes to shove, so it is not roses all the way as it is portrayed on Strictly Come Dancing

Bit if you are not looking to compete, just join in for the fun and chemistry with your partner. If you fight shy of train sweeping dresses, go instead for ostrich feather-look slashed dresses that make for a vintage ensemble.
