Singer Beyonce’s steamy advertisement of a perfume brand “Heat” has flamed several heated
arguments. According to the reports, Beyonce perfume ad has been restricted from getting aired in
the daytime television. Reports indicate, the advertisements have been banned for daytime television
as the content of the advertisement does not suit with the standards set by the Advertising Standards
Authority of the United Kingdom. As per the reports, the advertisement though will not appear in
daytime, will be aired after 7:30 p.m. in the evening. This means, the advertisement has not been
completely banned for the television viewers.
As the new perfume advertisement of the singer has been banned for daytime viewing, the company
officials have raised their voice in support of this commercial. According to the company officials, the
advertisement is a little sensuous but it does not contain any kind of highly explicit contents that might
be unfit for viewing in the daytime television.
Reports state, Beyonce has appeared in a short dress of red color and has exposed some parts of her
body but she had never made any gestures that people might find inappropriate for viewing. The
spokesperson of the company also said, the commercial was targeted for attracting the youths and
adults. This indicates the commercial will be aired in between shows meant for the targeted audience.
Therefore, they do not find any reason for which the authorities have banned the advertisement
and consider it unfit for airing in the daytime. Though the company has made attempts to get the
advertisement sanctioned for daytime television, the authorities are still firm on their position.
