Singer Beyonce Knowles is pregnant. After Alicia Keys and Celine Dion, another celebrity singer is set to be a mother. Reports of Beyonce Knowles to be expecting her first child was released by the US Weekly Magazine on Wednesday. Beyonce is married to rapper Jay-Z, whose original name is Shawn Carter.

This news has surprised Beyonce a great deal who did not want to be a mother just yet. However, the 29 year old superstar was overjoyed to learn that she was in the three month period of her pregnancy. She wanted to complete working on another album before being a mother, as reported by the U.S. magazine.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are one of the wealthiest and most influential couples in the world. They had married in New York two years ago in a secret ceremony.

The 40 year old rapper is working on his next album titled “Decoded”, a memoir set to be released in November. Beyonce completed a world tour in the early part of this year while promoting “I am…Sasha Fierce.”, her hit 2008 studio album.

One of the sources close to the couple said Beyonce was shocked to hear the news. Though she is very fond of kids, still she thought it might be too early for her to be a mother. She also added her pregnancy was not planned. She wanted to finish her album and go on a world tour once again.

Solange, Beyonce’s sister has congratulated her with a complement saying she has a wonderful heart which would make her a great mother.
