![]() HOUSE POWERED BY BLOOM ENERGY Bloom Energy, being one of the brightest possibilities in Green Technology has been featured in the 60 Minutes by US national media for their excellent achievement with the pocket size power house, the Bloom Box. Google is one of the first companies that have become the customer of Bloom Box Energy. Their devices generate an unconventional source of energy that converts combination of oxygen & fuel into electric energy in a matter of seconds and compact in size to be carried along. K. S. Sridhar founded Bloom Energy in 2002 at Sunnyvale, California by the help of a private funding dedicated to invent green power based on a project of NASA for increasing usability of scrap materials. This power plant in a box is contained with square shaped chunks of silica painted in a liquid invented by Bloom Energy that sucks oxygen from one side and another side is used to give input of fuels like bio gas or solar energy to create a chemical reaction that produces electric energy. One single cell of 4 inches × 4 inches metal alloy plate between two ceramic layers may generate up to 25 watts, using a clean energy technology. Currently Bloom Energy is making Bloom Servers which are capable of producing 100 KW of Electric Power, coming with a price tag of $750,000 but K. S. Sridhar claimed to make tiny Bloom Boxes for generating 1KW energy for running a home within an affordable price of $3,000 soon in the market. Image Credit: |
