![]() BP Campaign Management BP’s campaign management is working to clean up the major oil spill that they are responsible for. One method they are using to make sure they reach people is through advertising on major search engines. They including Google, Yahoo and Bing. There you may see sponsored advertising that shows you stories and videos about the clean up efforts in place, at the request of their campaign manager. In fact, when you go to any of these search engines you may find that BP is the top sponsor listed on them. This is a great way for people to be well aware of the time and money that BP has dedicated to help with the clean up efforts. Campaign management is also using this strategy to help improve their image in the eyes of the public. This isn’t a new practice for any business to take part in. In fact, Google has long been used as an entity for any business to promote themselves during a crisis. They want to get their side of the story out. The message can be quickly spread this way due to the millions of people that rely on search engines for information. Due to the fact that there is so much negativity out there surrounding BP right now, they are taking adequate steps to turn that all around. However, many people are also criticizing the campaign manager for money being spent on advertising right now. In fact, President Obama was recently doing so due to BP spending millions to help their public image through TV advertisements. In spite of their efforts though many online users are still asking others to boycott BP. Image Credit: |
