![]() Brad Pitt and Oil Cleanup Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is not making a movie on the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster, according to his representative who dismissed the rumors telling Gossip Cop they have heard nothing about this project. Brad Pitt who’s starring in the new film, “Moneyball,” at Sony owns a home in New Orleans and he was very involved in helping communities there to rebuild the area after Katrina’s disaster. The “story” started last week when New York Daily News began a recent article Thursday saying that BP came from British Petroleum, but it may be also associated with Brad Pitt. The report was signed by Frank Digiacomo and suggested that Brad Pitt is interested in making a dramatic film about the Gulf disaster and the oil cleanup. The one missing element, according to the article, was that so far, the BP tragedy is still a story without a hero. This rumor, not surprisingly, spread to a number of sites that still haven’t bothered to clean up their reporting about the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor and his plans for a big screen drama about America’s worst environmental disaster. Many celebrities like James Cameron, Kevin Costner and Robert Redford protested against this crisis and tried to help the clean up oil efforts, but Brad Pitt is still waited “into the club”.
