Reports from a website (Deadspin) that Brett Favre had sent nude pictures to Jenn Sterger, the then sideline reporter with the Jets when Favre was the quarterback has spread like wild fire. Though Favre refused to comment the NFL decided to investigate into the matter. The scandal investigation headed to new directions after revelations of two other women who happened to be the Jets’ massage therapists to whom Favre had allegedly sent lewd messages.
Reportedly, Favre had apologised to his teammates when he met them at the team hotel in New Jersey ahead of their game against the Jets because of the distractions because of the scandal with Sterger.
Sterger called Favre ‘creepy’ and her manager Phil Reese released a statement on her possibilities of hiring a counsel. “We’re looking at all our options right now and our only concern is what’s in Jenn’s best interest,” he said. However he asserted that Deadspin had admitted of getting the evidence from a third party and it was not supplied by Sterger.
The new allegations by two Jets’ therapists, one therapists’ husband and many more text messages from Favre surfaced when accusations that he had invited the two women back to his hotel room was revealed by the therapists’ husband who demanded an apology from Favre but didn’t get one.
Favre reportedly has “no problems in talking with the commissioner” about it but refused to comment in the production meeting for Monday Night Football. A lot depends on the investigation as he could face suspension once found guilty.
