Bicycle turns hero as Boulder fire rages on

The Boulder Dome Fire is raging on with no signs of stopping and has forked out into two separate blazes. Flame retardants and air tankers from Colorado are trying to douse the magnitude of the flames. People are being evacuated from the wildfire inferno, while some residents have taken a novel way out, bicycling out of the disaster area.

The hunch of the Notre Dame student

Declan Sullivan, who died of a tragic accident during a Notre Dame football practice , seemed to have an eerie hunch of his impending death. Sullivan was a tower in the perched atop LaBar Practice Complex filming a practice session when the hydraulic camera tower blew over.

Bin Laden drops taped burqa bombshell

A man, ostensibly Osama Bin Laden, appeared in a tape threatening France with dire consequences in retaliation to the blanket ban on burqas, and the positioning of French troops in Afghanistan.
The French Foreign Ministry said in a media statement on Thursday that the tape is most likely authentic. In the tape, Laden calls for the neck of Gaelic troops and hails the burqa-clad as” free women”, as says that it is a “tyranny” to unveil them.

SUSPICIOUS PACKAGES PROMPTS SEARCH IN CARGO PLANES

Three UPS planes and a truck in the US have been searched following a suspicious package in the United Kingdom. The search operation took place in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Newark and also New York City. Police indentified the package at around 3:30 a.m. in central England at East Midlands Airport.
All the suspicious packages that were examined by the New York City police were reported to have come from Yemen. However, no explosives have been found in those packages.

Indonesia Quake Kills 112, 500 Missing

At least 112 people were killed and 502 others were missing when a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the island of Sumatra and triggered a devastating tsunami.
Henri Dori Satoko, the head of the Mentawai Islands parliament said in an interview some of the missing may include people who are still unaccounted for after having fled to higher grounds. He also added a village with a population of 200 have been swept away in the monstrous waves of the tsunami, out of whom only 40 have been rescued so far.
