A settlement deal has been accepted by the thousands of workers who were exposed to poisonous dust after the 9/11 terror attacks. The workers had sued the city of New York as well as several companies which engaged them in the business of rescuing victims of the attack as well as cleaning up the site. Steven Rattner, an auto czar working in the Obama administration formerly hardly refused to part with $6.2 million as settlement to civil charges after he had a role in a scandal involving the use of influence in the State of New York’s public fund pension.

Some terrorism suspects are to be tried in civilian courts in the US, the Justice Department expressed. The Department says Ahmed Ghailani was convicted of crimes connected to the 1998 bombings of American Embassies in Nairobi and dare s salaam.
