Chris Brown Praised for Excellence in Carrying Out Sentence

Chris Brown, the popular US artiste, was yesterday hailed in court for diligently undertaking the community service assigned to him by a Los Angeles court. Brown had been arrested last year in February after he allegedly assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, an incident which coincided with the Grammy Awards. Chris Brown Doing Community Service Diligently He pleaded guilty to the charge and was ordered by the court to undertake community service for a duration of five years. He was also required to take have counseling sessions on domestic violence. Part of his community labor has included clearing walls of any graffiti and cleaning roads in Virginia, his native state. Judge Patricia Schnegg commended the 21-year old singer for being one of a few of thousand of probationers who was actually showing zeal in the performance of his duties. Mark Geragos, Brown’s lawyer remarked that his client was working hard to live up to everyone’s expectations of him. The singer has repeatedly expressed remorse at his actions. Image Credit: |
