It is a month plus to Christmas, but the GTA malls are already in the festive mood.
A few days after Halloween, Christmas decorations are all over the place, taking the place of skeletons and pumpkins with Santas and reindeers, and aptly nauseous to those with candy hangover.

Christmas Decorations Coming Up in Malls Fast

Shoppers have different views on the unexpected change of scenario to the red and green.

One man told 680 News that he was unconcerned on the early display of decorations.
A female shopper understood the situation and thought it was an early and better way to woo shoppers.

Another woman was already in celebration gear and said that the Christmas decorations are very helpful in putting people in celebratory mood.

Other shoppers were not to be carried away by the wave and remained timid on the whole idea.
One thought that with Christmas being in the month of December, having any festive material in the month of November was simply not understandable.

Another shopper was supportive of the idea in that December remained to be the month of Christmas.

Other shoppers could not understand why just after a Halloween and this time, citing it to be too early.

A shopper observed that the malls had just become so obsessed with holidays that the end of one holiday meant the start of another.

John Torella, a retail consultant with the JC Williams Group, said that it meant sense to display the Christmas decorations early and another reason for doing it was the E-commerce and the web impact.

Speaking to the 680 News, the consultant said that people are already in a festive mood and are searching for ideas and suggestions.

While observing that Christmas offers a very difficult task of balancing for retailers, Torella added that a retailer is always to balance between being early in the market early enough but at the same time avoid antagonizing people.

With that being the case, there remain tens of shopping days to the D-day, December 25.
