![]() US Open The final match of the women’s US Open was no challenge at all for Clijsters. She was able to easily win against Zvonareva. Her success took less than 1 hour to complete, and there was little question from the start about who would be victorious. Still, many watching it were disappointed due to the fact that the action involved was so one sided. They want the excitement of a very close match up for the women’s US Open final. The main cause of the boring match up was the fact that Clijsters has some an amazing serve. She was able to get the ball in bounces on most of her serves but her opponent was unable to return it. Yet this doesn’t mean at all that Zvonareva isn’t an amazing tennis player. Experts believe that the pressure of being in the final was overwhelming for her and prevented her from playing the tennis match to her full potential. This win is the second of the US Open for Clijsters. Her statements after the event showed her excitement as well as her love of the game. She had nothing but good to stay about the sport of tennis. In fact, she encouraged many women that enjoy playing it to work hard to take it to the next level. She also had encouragement for Zvonerava too, reminding her that she is still young and has lots of potential. While the final of the women’s US Open didn’t give fans the great match up they wanted, no one can deny that quality of the sportsmanship Clijesters showed at the end of it. Image Credit: |
