According to a review of global sports salaries to be published Friday the New York Yankees are the best-paid team in world sports. This is measured by average pay. They were ahead of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Chelsea. The Dallas Mavericks of basketball’s NBA is in fifth place.
The review covers 211 teams. The NBA came in second with cricket’s IPL coming in third. In fourth place is the MLB and the Premier League evenly tied.
