Organ Donor List Containing 800,000 Errors Being Investigated in Britain

On Saturday, England’s transplant authorities stated they were investigating hundreds of thousands of errors on its donor transplant list going back over the past ten years. The errors included mistakes such as donating a lung or a heart instead of a cornea or skin for example.
The Transplant and Blood center stated about 14 million people who are on a donor list had been affected by the computer errors since 1999. Even some people had organs removed without proper authorization!

Playoff Hopes Are Kept Alive by The N. Y. Rangers

On Friday, The N. Y. Rangers won a four to three victory over the Flyers. This will set up as showdown on Sunday for the Conference’s final postseason game keeping their playoff dreams alive.
N. Y.’s win puts them even at eighty-six points with the Philadelphia Flyers for eighth place and the final spot in the Eastern Division. If the Flyers win Sunday they will advance in the final Eastern Conference game.

18 People Were Killed in Thailand During Political Violence

In Bangkok today, clashes between anti-government and security forces left at least eight hundred injured and eighteen people dead. A cameraman from Japan was among those who were killed. It was the capital’s worst violence in nearly twenty years. And after campaigning for a month for new elections, it was the largest gathering of protesters. Troops fired tear gas and rubber bullets trying to crack down the chaos and protests. The demonstrators fought with grenades, guns, and gas bombs. Plane Crash in Russia Claims the Life of the Polish President

Russian officials are confirming today the Polish president was killed in a tragic plane crash. His wife, Maria, and all 132 passengers aboard the plane were also killed. The governor of Smolensk has confirmed there were no survivors, and the Polish Ministry also confirmdent was aboard the plane. The plane crashed around the Smolensk airport at 10 : 56 Russian time.
