In May, payrolls for nonfarm work climbed at the fastest rate in almost 27 years as the US Census Bureau was getting ready to hire more workers.
Out of the 513,000 payroll increases, it is projected the census will be hiring around two-thirds of it. The foundation is there for the recovery process from a wounded labor market.
