The French National Center for Scientific Research is stating that saving data like home videos and pictures on DVD or CD could do more harm than good. Surprisingly the discs that should be lasting a lifetime are only lasting no more than ten years and sometimes only five. The Center tested how long the media would last and has concluded in severe cases the data only lasted a year or less. Scientist from France calculated a disc’s life by aging it with light, heat, and water vapor.

Over 25,000 people die each year in United States from suicides, according to Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These sad figures do not include suicide attempts which are even higher.
The most vulnerable are middle-aged adults as some recent figures show that the 45 to 54 age group recorded a rate of 17.6 suicides per every 100,000 people. The situation is even worse in most of the European and Asian countries where the map of suicide rates shows a large majority of countries going over 13 suicides per every …

President Barack Obama addressed the nation Tuesday night from the Oval Office, trying to reassure the auditors he is in command of this crisis and to attract more support for his efforts to deal with the oil spill. He said that this is the worst environmental disaster America has ever faced. The specialists estimated that the volume of oil leaking every day is between 35,000 and 60,000 barrels.
