Protestors Interrupt Western Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks Game on Sunday

Protesters intentionally interrupted the 2011 All Star Game being played in Phoenix by jumping onto the field temporarily stopping the Western Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game on Sunday. The protest was a result of the various political restraints due to the new immigration laws recently put in place in Arizona. The protestors were able to elude security guards for several minutes, but were eventually subdued and escorted out of the area.

Alabama Sues Over Oil Spill Against BP and Transocean

Two federal civil lawsuits were filed on Thursday in federal court in Montgomery, Alabama, one for Transocean (NYSE:RIG) and one for BP (NYSE:BP).
They accuse BP for violations of the Federal Oil Pollution Act and negligent or wanton failure to adhere to recognized industry standards, causing damage in Alabama’s environment and economy. Their announcements was also dishonest, presenting the estimate of the original oil flow 60 times less then it really was.

More Concern Over Tylenol Link to Teen Asthma Risk

Acetaminophen or Tylenol use in children and adolescents is linked to development and maintenance of asthma, eczema and rhino conjunctivitis, according to a pair of global studies reported today online in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
Higher hay fever also was mentioned by New Zealand researchers, analyzing more than 300,000 questionnaires filled by adolescents in 113 centers throughout 50 countries. Participants were helped by video explanations and questioned regarding their experience of current symptoms of asthma, rhino conjunctivitis, and eczema.

Caribou Coffee Celebrates its Solid Financial Results with a Special Offer Today

Caribou Coffee (CBOU), the second largest coffee retailer in US next Starbucks, is offering a special “today only” $2 offer for any cold drinks. This offer came after Caribou Coffee reported solid financial results for the second quarter of 2010 on Thursday, with profits topping expectations.
Their consolidated sales increased 9.4 percent compared to the same period of 2009 and 45.3 percent for commercial and franchise sales, compared to the second quarter of prior year.

Suspect in Serial Stubber Arrested in Atlanta as He Tried Flight Out of US

A man suspected in a series of crimes in Michigan and Virginia was arrested at the Atlanta airport as he tried to leave the country in a Delta flight for Tel Aviv. U.S. Customs spokesman Rafael Lemaitre said the man was being held on unrelated charges and was taken into custody Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Dell begins presales of its Streak tablet today, retailing for $299.99 with a 24 months AT&T contract and $549.99 unlocked.

New Study May Help People with Sleep Disorders

The brains of people complaining sleep disorders may be less wired to block out noise, according to researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.
One in three Americans get enough sleep, while 10 percent of them report difficulty sleeping and other 16 percent have insomnia or other chronic sleep disorders.
