The board of Genzyme has rejected the Sanofi Aventis 18.5 billion dollar takeover offer by the French Company, claiming the bid is quite low.
Genzyme is one of the largest actors in biopharmaceutical markets, while a regulatory filing had suggested that a meeting that had taken place between the two interested parties on September had the Sanofi chief executives proposing a bid at the range of $69-89 per share.

A democrat candidate from Virginia for Congress, Krystal Ball is having a set of six photos haunting her, taken around 2004.

The Internet is heating up again, this time because of Scott Charney, the vice president of Microsoft of Trustworthy Computing, after he had said he desired to see at least the internet somehow policed, as he gave a speech on Tuesday in Berlin, on the conference ISSE 2010.

If you are a food stamper, no soda pop for you.NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Wednesday sought federal permission to debar 1.7 million people, who get food stamps, from exchanging them for soda pop. This is being seen as an aggressive push by the mayor to counter childhood obesity. Couch potatoes got a round of respite after an attempt to slap a tax on sugared drinks failed.
