General Norman Johnson, the lead singer of the popular band “Chairmen of the Board” died yesterday at the age of 67.
General Johnson started singing at a very young age. At 6, he joined the church choir and at 12, he recorded his debut album. He was a resident of Rayleigh in North Carolina where the band Chairmen of the Board originated and started composing a type of music which they termed as beach music.
