APPLE EARNINGS SOAR AS iPHONE SALES DOUBLES

Apple Inc. moved far ahead of all the estimates for the fourth quarter as their earnings soared with the huge sales of the iPhone which have sold almost double compared with the same period next year. However, the iPad disappointed as their sales fell short of the estimates for that period.

DANROY HENRY: COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER SHOT DEAD BY POLICE OUTSIDE BAR

Danroy Henry, football player of Pace University was killed in gunfire early Sunday morning after police reacted to a bar fight in Mount Pleasant, New York. According to police reports, Henry was in a parked car outside Finnegan’s Grill when the cops arrived and tried to flee from the scene.

AQUA BUDDHA ISSUE AGITATES RAND PAUL

The Kentucky Senate race between the Republican’s candidate ophthalmologist Rand Paul and the Democratic candidate Attorney General Jack Conway heated up last night when the two met for the fourth of the five scheduled debates between the candidates. Rand Paul was agitated at the mentioning of the worship of the “Aqua Buddha” by Conway.

JUNIOR SEAU ARRESTED, DRIVES CAR OFF CLIFF

Junior Seau, the former NFL line back crashed and was admitted to hospital but with no major injuries after he had been arrested on charges of domestic violence. AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION UPDATES CPR

The American Heart Association updated the procedures for CPR. The AHA is responsible for setting the procedures for CPR used widely by the doctors, government and health organisations. CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. These guidelines can also be followed by the common people.
The main change that is taking place is the order of the steps of CPR. The system used previously was: Airway (the head tilted back and air path opened), Breathing (mouth to mouth resuscitation) and then Compressions (to the heart)- thereby creating ABC steps. But now that order …

Bank of America on Refiling 102 Foreclosures

Bank of America is reportedly resuming foreclosures starting next week in 23 States and on homes exceeding 100,000, claiming legal rights on doing so.
Amid issues of paperwork that was faulty, America’s largest bank started foreclosure halting on October 2.
Bank of America Corp however said on Monday it had plans that would see resubmission of documents carrying new signatures within states, requiring the approval of a judge to begin again the process of foreclosure.
In those states that hardly need the approval of a judge, the Bank has promised to delay foreclosures …

Media asked not to Publish Classified Files from WikiLeaks

The pentagon has pleaded with media organizations to refrain from publishing any kind of documents in their thousands,on the Iraq War as released by WikiLeaks as the country was bracing for another disclosure.
WikiLeaks released in July about 77,000 military classified reports it had obtained from Afghanistan. Currently, the Pentagon expresses fear that the group contains 400,000 such documents drawn from military database on current Iraq operations.

SHANNON BROWN ENGAGED TO R&B SINGER MONICA

Wedding bells are ringing for Los Angeles Lakers star Shannon Brown! He was engaged to Monica Denise Arnold. The 29 year old R&B singer uploaded a picture of her engagement ring on the social networking site Twitter this weekend. Monica is from College Park in Georgia while Brown comes from Michigan State. RUTGERS PLAYER ERIC LEGRAND PARALYZED

Eric LeGrand, the junior defensive tackle of Rutgers broke his neck after a tackle on a kick return in a game against Army. He had a surgery late on Saturday and fears of his inability to walk again remains.
The C3 and C4 vertebrae were fractured during the tackle and had to be operated upon to steady the spinal cord. Eric has been kept in the intensive care and is said to be in good, positive spirits and recovering speedily. Rutgers coach Greg Schiano spent the whole night at the hospital …
