Helen Hayes: First Lady of the American Theatre

With son James MacArthur passing away at the ripe old age of 72, after a distinguished six decades long career on stage and screen, actress mom Helen Hayes, hailed as the First Lady of the American Theatre is again in the news.
MacArthur had said in an interview that his favorite “Hawaii Five-O” episodes was the one in which he co-starred with mom Helen Hayes. Plummer and Co. on the Sound of Mucus

Christopher Plummer gave a boost to the promo pitch of the 45th anniversary DVD edition of ‘The Sound of Music’ by appearing with the cast members of the 1965 classic on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’. TV queen Oprah teamed up with Christopher Plummer, Julie Andrews and others to reminisce about the film.

Condolences pour in for Nestor Kirchner

Flowers bouquets, personalized messages and posters adorned the Casa Rosada presidential palace , after Argentina went into mourning for Nestor Kirchner.

James MacArthur is no more

In a week that saw ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’ luminary Lisa Blount pass away, it was reported that veteran actor James MacArthur died on Thursday. He was 72.

The hunch of the Notre Dame student

Declan Sullivan, who died of a tragic accident during a Notre Dame football practice , seemed to have an eerie hunch of his impending death. Sullivan was a tower in the perched atop LaBar Practice Complex filming a practice session when the hydraulic camera tower blew over.
