Financial Reform Almost Caused Rewrite Of Bankruptcy Law

The county’s laws on bankruptcy were almost completely rewritten by a certain proposal supported by lawyers for homeowners and many famous democrats.
A report by Reuters said that “Mortgagecramdown” which is the name that was given to the potential change, would have given judges the permission to change agreements on mortgages for home owners who filed for bankruptcy.
The banking sector and the republicans opposed the change. According to the courts currently, bankruptcy courts are allowed to change or reduce some types of debts held by struggling borrowers.

Mailed Credit Card Offers Carry Too Much Data

According to Center for Responsible Lending’s report, most offers of credit cards carry averagely about 33 distinct numbers whereby each number describes a different fee or rate. While most of these numbers – 41% – as at now apply to APR’s description and the card usually carries, 27% refer for penalty fee, 24% to miscellaneous fee & 8% for other rates or fees.

Lenders Suing More Often Over Delinquent Credit Card Debt

A total number of about 428 consumers from the same Pennsylvanian county have had court cases because of their unpaid credit card debt over a period of the last two months, according to a report by the Lancaster News.
Credit card debt lenders like Discover, Capital One and Citi have had to file lawsuits to near record levels in the past two years, though more have followed them by being tougher, even as they see the summed number of Nationwide’s charge offers reduce greatly. New Office 2011 Version Going Strong in the Market

The much-anticipated Office 2011 for Mac, released in a public fete by Microsoft, borrows features such as the ribbon interface from windows recent versions of Office.
Other features are features from the first ever version of Outlook that the Mac version had incorporated. Other features are Messenger for Mac, which has been included in the suite and has been long expected.

Garmin GPS Seeks Expansion, Splits from Asus

ASUS and Garmin have brought their partnership in the phone industry, leaving room for Garmin to expand their smart phone. In the new deal, ASUS will use Garmin GPS systems on their android phones yet make the phones themselves. Benson Lin, ASUS’s head states they will continue to use Garmin GPS systems for a couple of years while Garmin will not launch any new models and will continue to sell devices like the Garminfone and nuvifone G60.

Man under Pepper Spray after Arrest by Police

A man was heavily subdued by pepper spray on Saturday night by Corpus Christi police. The 22 year old man was said to be kicking and constantly banging he’s head inside the police car as he was driven to jail. The police said he was undertaking the offense of public intoxication and was subsequently arrested by the officers.
