Jon Stewart beats Glenn Beck in battle of the rallies

The Rally to Restore Sanity seems to have beat Glenn Beck ’s Restoring Honor rally in terms of attendance. While numbers were being thrown around, Comedy Central duo Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert pulled in a massive crown in a pre-Halloween mood, and they sure did not disappoint with their insane antics and unconventional take on politics and religion.

Denise Bornio-Quinn passes away at 46

If you are an art luminary, get insured immediately. The times are rough for celebs, with actress Lisa Blount, detective Danny aka James MacArthur and vaudeville icon James Wall of Captain Kangaroo all passing away, the latter two albeit at a ripe old age.
Denise Bornio-Quinn, the TV star who graced ‘The Sopranos’ died in Roseland, N.J. at the age of 46. She succumbed after a prolonged battle with liver cancer, and her condition had deteriorated severely towards the end.

Sam Waterston, of Law and Order fame, had a memorable outing in the Rally to Restore Sanity by Comedy Central duo Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. The lawyer made a surprise appearance after Father Sarducci had set the stage with his prayer. ABIM gives respite to ill doctors

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) has offered some respite to doctors who work through their illness. Study results showed the incidence of 58% resident doctors working even in sickness at least once, given that there are demanding rules for how much training time is reqired, with doctors having to put in the hours.
