Fuel cell Cars GMs Big Future Dream

General Motors (GM) is looking into creating vehicles that are electically propelled and by 2015 go for those with pure electric and hydrogen or fuel cell ones, and by 2030 electric pods that can drive and park themselves.
As the pressure to reduce carbon of personal vehicles intensifies, the Chinese government is introducing incentives to manufacturers to develop fuel cell cars. This demand is being driven by the Chinese market and GM and Shanghai Automotive have taken the initiative.

China Adopt a New Way to Fight Pirating Software

Big software companies in China have adopted a new weapon of fighting pirating for software makers and have lowered the prices yielding encouraging results so far. The legal and political outfit was previously used to fight this vice.
It was reported during an executives meeting that since the lowering of prices by Microsoft Corp., Autodesk Inc and other software companies that the sales units have increased. Simon Leung, Greater china Microsoft’s chief concurred as shown with their April sales.

Bicycle turns hero as Boulder fire rages on

The Boulder Dome Fire is raging on with no signs of stopping and has forked out into two separate blazes. Flame retardants and air tankers from Colorado are trying to douse the magnitude of the flames. People are being evacuated from the wildfire inferno, while some residents have taken a novel way out, bicycling out of the disaster area.
It is reported by local feeds that more than 1,800 people and around 750 houses have been facing the ire of the unrelenting blaze.

Daylight Saving Time ends for 2010

For 2010, the ‘Daylight Saving Time’ (DST) for Americans and Canadians is set to end on November 7. DST is the practice of going fast forward in time. Do not get flummoxed, clocks in US and Canada are advanced temporarily so that afternoons get a larger share of daylight and the mornings get way less. DST is an energy conservation exercise where usually, clocks are advanced by about an hour at the onset of spring and are then adjusted backward when fall approaches.

Captain Kangaroo’s James Wall passes away at 92

Revolutionary vaudevillian James Wall, best remembered as Mr. Baxter of the Captain Kangaroo series, passed away this Wednesday. It has been a jinxed week for art luminaries, with Lisa Blount, the Lynette Pomeroy of ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’and Detective Danny “Danno” Williams aka James Macarthur too deceasing.
James Wall delighted kids in the iconic series Captain Kangaroo, with his role as Mr. Baxter, the friendly neighbor of Captain Kangaroo. Wall had been ailing for a short while and died aged 92.
