Manufacture in US picking up as Consumptions Slows

Currently, the economy of the United States is depicting signs of natural re-balancing from spending by consumers in the manufacture industry, as data suggests.
The US manufacturing sector expansion is known to have risen in October unexpectedly, because of new and strong exports as orders increase plus slow imports.
However, by September, consumer-spending growth seems to have slowed as personal income showed an unexpected fall.
In the meantime, a rebound on spending on construction was felt, driven by the investment of the government although still very weak.

A former chief of Police in Milan has been interrogated by a number of prosecutors as allegations persist that Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM, is abusing power.
The allegations overall issues seem to circle around the intervention of the Prime Minister in having a teenage girl released from a cell in a police station.

Tip-Off on Bomb from an Al-Qaeda Repentant Member

Candidates in the Tuesday election are making their major final push towards winning votes as the last of campaigns hit home for the congressional midterm elections.

This was the Halloween marathon with the adventurous running in their costumes,adding jazz to the Marine Corps Marathon this year. Dubbed the ‘People’s Marathon’, anyone and everyone can take part in this marathon and the only award is the fun of the participation.

Maurice Lucas passes away at 58

Maurice Lucas, the basketball great who was hailed by fans as ‘The Enforcer’, has passed away. The 58-year-old succumbed after a protracted battle with bladder cancer.
The Portland Trailblazer fans will fondly remember their favourite as the man who in 1977 led the Trailblazers to the NBA title.
CBS news reported that Lucas is survived by Pamela, his wife, two sons named David and Maurice II and his daughter Kristin. No funeral arrangements have been announced so far.

M&T Bank takes over Wilmington Trust

Wilmington Trust said on Monday that it was set for a merger with lending major M&T Bank Corp. , together forming a big-ticket lender in eastern US.
Wilmington Trust was founded by the du Ponts and in the face of a sixth straight quarterly loss it declared itself for sale. The final deal was made for around $351 million worth of stock, which is not a major chunk of the market value of Wilmington Trust.
