Oprah Winfrey’s Final Season saw teen heartthrobs of yore gang up, with once boyish and yummylicious stars like Shaun Cassidy and Peter Frampton gracing the show aired on November 4, Thursday. Illinois Governor Quinn wins full term

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn won against his GOP opponent by a whisker, narrowly holding on to a full term. Quinn was among the select few Democratic governors who avoided the Republican rout .
As ballot counts continued to trickle in, it became apparent that opponent Bloomington senator Bill Brady would not manage to tide over the lead Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has opened up.

Portia de Rossi, an actress, has revealed some details explaining her reasons on personal struggles she went through towards overcoming anorexia as well as bullemia. This was in a new book entitled “Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain”.

600-Yard Drug Tunnel Found Linking Tijuana and San Diego

The border police of the country are currently involved in perhaps the biggest of all drug busts in the history of the United States after they had discovered drug tunnel, about 600-yard. Sparky Anderson is no more

Sparky Anderson, the Hall of Fame manager died on Thursday. He was 76. The ace scripted history in his lifetime, and his memorable feat was the back-to-back wins in the World Series championships at the helm of affairs in Cincinnati’s Big Red Machine in 1975-76. Sparky also had the honour of winning the World Series at two major leagues, and he followed his Cincinnati heroics with another title in Detroit. 1984 saw the victory of the Detroit Tigers under Sparky.

Violent Games Receiving Split Justice

Bad influences for the youth today keep growing by the numbers. Violent games such as some video games have faced the law recently over alleged “bad influence” on the youth.
On Tuesday, the First Amendment Protection for video games received split opinions by the Supreme Court. The government and its endeavors to protect the youth from bad influences and other mediums trying to put across their rights seem to be facing off.

Mary Ann Mobley’s hubby in hit and run case

Actor and television host Gary Collins, husband of Mary Ann Mobley is embroiled in a hit and run case that is also dragging down his wife.
Gary Collins now faces charges of misdemeanour after he rammed into the back of a vehicle, injuring the woman and child in the sedan. The woman had stopped at a red light when Gary Collins plowed into Cheryl Hales’ vehicle.
To make matters worse, he fled the scene of the accident that happened this Tuesday, said reports in the Clarion Ledger.

David Cassidy arrested for drunken driving

Driving under influence, star of Partridge Family and teen idol of yesteryears David Cassidy was arrested in Florida. Cassidy’s Mercedes was impounded and he was given a DUI charge after reckless weaving in traffic that almose led to an accident. The Florida Highway Patrol maintained that David Cassidy was stone drunk on Wednesday, even as Cassidy later said the incident was blown out of proportion.
