Missile Over California: The Mystery

In what is being touted as a possible missile launch that has left experts clueless and scratching their heads, there was a luminous cloud trail that was spotted off the Southern California coast this Monday. The “is it a bird? Is it a plane” question is no longer being asked about the grungy brooding all-new Superman, but about the mystery missile launch.
The cloud trail has Pentagon shamefully flummoxed with most experts not even having a vague clue as to what was on. These guys in whose hands national security …

Family Law Reform required to Improve Performance

It has been a long-standing debate on how to improve the increasingly failing American School system.
However, attention is rarely paid to the fact that children may be performing below par due to the conflict caused by faulty divorce and family law policies in the United States. Even if the education system is upgraded, improvement in performance will not be fully realized unless these family law policies are addressed.
The failing academics has gone hand in hand with the high rate of divorces which result in ugly custody court battles, a …

Injury to be Lessened by More Daylight

As is common at the onset of winter, time was set back one hour from British Summer Time to Greenwich Mean Time. However, this may soon be a thing of the past.
This is because a campaign has been launched lobbying for the time change to be done away with and reduce injury. It advocates for the clock to be an hour ahead of where it presently is, all year round; GMT+2 during summer and GMT+1 during winters. The campaigners list a number of benefits to this system.
For starters, business and …

Around 800 jobs are expected to be moved to Chicago, meaning while there will be job losses at Houston, gains will be made in Chicago.

The rise in poverty levels has been attributed to the recent economic downturn, where less people are being able to meet the high cost of living. The losers in …

It was with incredulous belief that many received the information that the real ‘reason’ the Titanic sank was because one of the crew members was clueless about differentiating right from left. This was revealed in anew book by Louise Patten, the granddaughter of the Titanic’s Second Officer, Charles Lightoller. Lightoller happens to be the only surviving officer of the Titanic.
Given that the Titanic sunk about a century ago, where so many etiquette rules required the use of one’s left and right sides more often than not, this explanation is at …
