Mixed Reactions Over BP Clean Up

BP is making good its word to extensively clean Gulf beaches after a disastrous oil spill threatened the local economy which is heavily dependent on tourism. The spill occurred after an oil rig explosion in one of BP’s undersea wells led to the deaths of 11 workers and spewed forth millions of gallons of oil.
At the prompting of the area authorities, the company then began a multi-faceted cleaning approach aimed at cleaning oil that had been washed into the beaches by wave action.

Settlement Deal Accepted By Ground Zero Workers

A settlement deal has been accepted by the thousands of workers who were exposed to poisonous dust after the 9/11 terror attacks. The workers had sued the city of New York as well as several companies which engaged them in the business of rescuing victims of the attack as well as cleaning up the site. According to the over 10,000 firefighters, laborers and police, measures to properly protect them had not been taken and many have ended up with serious illnesses as a result.

Bucyrus Receives 7.6 Billion Dollars Bid From Caterpillar

Caterpillar Inc. has finally quoted the deal for buying Bucyrus Inc.
