Upon its return last night, “Saturday Night Live” was hosted by Amy Poehler with the musical guest being Katy Perry, while the night’s guest star was the New York Governor, David Patterson.

The famous show has additional cast members, although the main show stealer was the visit by Patterson. The show was on its 36th season and the events slowly opened to the delight of the audience.

Fred Armisen had been playing as the governor in the weekend update of the program. However, David Patterson made a visit to the show this time. Prior to the appearance by David Paterson, Armisen had appeared as Paterson’s doppelganger and ready to discuss the race of the New York Governor. Nevertheless, Paterson as himself appeared sooner in the studio, with the audience cheering before he said to Armisen “Stop! Stop! Stop!

The governor then went ahead to mock the portrayal by Armisen of him, saying that he did shave that beard about a year ago. Paterson then joked about the newly returned “Saturday Night Live”, claiming that there seem to be so many characters, “it’s funny for ten minutes, and then you just want it to be over.”
