The times are rough for celebs, with actress Lisa Blount, detective Danny aka James MacArthur and vaudeville icon James Wall of Captain Kangaroo all passing away, the latter two albeit at a ripe old age. Denise Bornio-Quinn, the TV star who graced ‘The Sopranos’ died in Roseland, N.J. at the age of 46. She succumbed after a prolonged battle with liver cancer, and her condition had deteriorated severely towards the end. The tragic incident happened months after Denise Bornio-Quinn’s husband , Luke Quinn Jr. passed away in March. A New Jersey funeral home confirmed that Borino-Quinn had died this Wednesday. A well-followed Sopranos actress, Denise Borino Quinn essayed the role of Ginny, who was the wife of Johnny Sacramoni, the mob boss. The star of the hit HBO series by David Chase was vivacious throughout her protracted struggle with cancer, but the liver ailment claimed her at just 46 years. She died at the Morristown Memorial Hospital, N.J. Denise Borino Quinn was born on January 6th, and was a legal secretary and part-time manicurist in Roseland before being cast in ‘The Sopranos’ and her stint started on 2001. The star from West Essex high school in Roseland was commemorated in her home in a mass held to celebrate the life of the distinguished actress who landed the Sopranos role amid a flurry of over 15,000 auditions .The actress was of Italian decent and married Luke Quinn in 2005.
