Drone Attack Kills German Militants in Pakistan

There have been increased drone attacks by the US since last month. About eight militant affiliated to the Al-Qaeda, with some ascertained to be German nations have died after a drone attack in Pakistan.

The drone is suspected to be a US one and had two missiles fired to a local tribesman’s house in North Waziristan in Pakistani, officials have reported.

Three of the already dead are Germans, of either Turkish or Arab origin. In the last couple of weeks, there have been reports from security sources talking of an Al-Qaeda linked plot that aims at attacking different cities in Europe.

Reports from US media has said that the CIA had carried out missile strikes using its built unmanned drones to target militants who are believed to be behind the alleged plot in Europe.

In the past month alone, 26 clear drone strikes have been carried by the United States along, which is the highest of its kind in a single month for the last six years.

The plot to attack Europe has made many countries to issue advisory travel warnings directly to their citizens in those cities or planning to travel there. They have been told to be vigilant as they travel in Europe.

Although an official comment is yet to be released on the drones latest strike, concern has been in the air on German nations being in these tribal areas.

Since 2009, reports from German Media depicts that there has been a disappearance of a couple of Islamist militants living in Hamburg.

Tribesmen living in the area said that the eight dead men were Arabs, although their identities were unknown.
