Egg Yolks Need to be Fully Cooked Due to Salmonella Outbreak

This problem can’t be ignored after two of the major producers of eggs in Iowa, Wright County Egg and Hillandale Farms, are involved in a huge recall on eggs. The scare of salmonella has spread around the nation. It is believed that the problem stems from chicken feed that both of these businesses purchased to feed their animals. It is believed that over 1,300 cases of salmonella poisoning have developed with eggs from these two locations. As a result, the recall covered more than 550 million eggs. Yet there are also several more farms out there that you need to be aware of. Look for a plant number on the carton that begins with P flowed by the Julian date of 1720 223. Any such eggs should be tossed out or returned to the store where you purchased them as they are part of the mass egg recall. The use of egg yolks in various types of foods makes them a danger for you to consume. Many consumers aren’t watching out for the salmonella passed the use of eggs. However, if you make cookies or cake, you will be adding egg yolks to the mix. Many people like to eat this dough or batter but it can be very dangerous for you right now. Various types of ice cream products also contain eggs. There are several other products that contain egg yolks too, like Caesar salad dressing, Hollandaise sauce, eggnog, chocolate mousse, and meringue.
