There was a special meeting called by the Birmingham Board of Education on Friday to ascertain and review an investigation by an independent law firm into the academic records of Eric Bledsoe, a basket star. A retired judge of the federal court was to be in the meeting, since he was a partner in the law firm mandated with carrying out the investigation, as per the agenda. The good thing is that Michelle Chapman, he director of communications of the school district had said the report would be available in a way e-mailing can be easily done. The issue in contention is Bledsoe’s conflicting grades as recorded in his transcript as well as a grade report from a night school in Algebra 3, which raised questions regarding Eric’s eligibility to play for the University of Kentucky. Bledsoe Plays for Clippers Eric Bledsoe had his report showing he got a questionable A in Algebra 3 while at Parker High School, while grade report emanating from the same institution was showing the Basketball star had made a C. Larry Webster, who was the teacher claimed that the final report record from the night-school course’ was wrong. It is evidently clear that the investigation in question did not agree with reasons Bledsoe’s teacher gave concerning change of grade from C to A, with the independent investigation claiming that his grades were frequently changed more other students. However, the school hardly considers the final report as enough evidence for any wrongdoing, thus unlikely official transcript could be changed. Image Credit: |
