Facebook is Blocked In Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia joined the ranks of Pakistan and Bangladesh by blocking ‘Facebook’ in the kingdom. According to an official who wished to remain anonymous, the reason for the blocking of the social networking site is that the latter does not conform to Saudi Arabia’s conservative values. It had also crossed the line in what was morally unacceptable in the Arabic Kingdom. Facebook Now Inaccessible in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia follows a strict religious and moral code and is heavily influenced by the edicts of their religion. In addition religious leaders are heavily influential in decision and policy-making.
