The Falling Sand game is trending, even though some are trashing the game as having rubbish graphics. If you are a wannabe arsonist who never got a chance to set things ablaze, here is your dream game.

The Falling Sand game has a mystifying look and you go about setting fire to ambiences that have just been created by the gamer. All the while, a big spiky ball dances around. Does not sound all that much exciting but the game is totally addictive ad has you hooked from the word go.

The game involves falling particle categories like sand, salt, water and oil. Each particle has its own unique properties that can be used to create and engineer whacky and complex structures. Particle properties include burning which tops the favourites chart, desiccating and also growing or eroding as per your wish. You can also manipulate the environment you build with fun erasers.

The best part is the namekuji which means slug in Japanese. That is when you salt something, and it cringes like a slug. So you can go ahead and play your heart out until your eyes get pickled.

It was a Java applet initially on the Dofi Blog. This was later revamped and hosted anew by Chirag Mehta. If you are on community sites like Delicious and Digg, you cannot miss the buzz around this game

Even those who are into shoot up and puzzle games find the Falling Sand game hard to resist.
