Facebook Fan Page: GAP Asking Fans to Share Logo Designs

A status update on the Facebook Page of Gap is displaying the older logo of the company, a navy blue one. However, there is a status update that is asking its fans to share what they think should be the right Gap Logo design. The page reads to the effect that they love their version although they would also like better ideas.

On the update is the news that there will be official details that detail the crowd sourcing of Gap’s logo project to be revealed in a couple of days. This shows it is running fast to have things sorted out as negative sentiments abound, where the project will also include logo contests that are user-generated, a website of Crap-Logo Yourself and a Twitter account parody.

The vice president also told the media that they would be coming up with a process to handle community logo designs submitted. He expressed that the logo they have is forward looking and will be a part of Gap’s holiday campaign for advertising, but said that prior to going ahead with the launch they would be seeing other ideas people might have.
