Sarah Palin New Book set to be Best Seller

The book is set to be released on Tuesday which will be the same date that the former Republican will begin a nation-wide tour to promote the book. The tour which was scheduled to begin in Arizona saw a crowd of fans hassle and line up overnight to buy a copy of the book.

In fact an ardent fan from Phoenix told the media that she had been standing in line since 4am as she was constantly impressed by Palin’s non-hesitation to speak the truth. However, the response in Maryland and New York, which are more liberal, was comparatively lukewarm.

The 2008 vice-presidential candidate has already had best-seller success with her first book, ‘Going Rogue’.

Although surveys point to the fact that a vast majority of American voters find her unsuitable to be president, Miss Palin says she reckons she can beat President Obama. She has also given indications that she will be running for the top seat, come presidential elections in 2012. She is currently a hero to the Tea Party movement, an extremely conservative party that is anti-establishment.

The plaintiff company claimed that SAP had the intention of using the collected information to poach the more than 300 customers involved. It demanded $1.65 billion in compensation amidst protests by SAP that it was only entitled to $40 million.

The jury, which deliberated for only a day, however heeded to Oracle’s request.
The trial ran for a duration of three weeks and included testimonies from SAP’s chief executive, Larry Ellison as well as its co-executive, Bill McDermot.

Following the verdict, SAP said it would pursue the courses of action available to it such as post-trial motions and appeals. The European giant however reiterated that it had accepted liability for its actions and was willing to compensate Oracle fairly.

Safra Catz, Oracle’s co-president said that the company was elated with the decision as the defendants had been, for more than three years, stealing copies of Oracle software and then reselling it as well as related services to clients of Oracle.

She went on to say that the trial revealed the knowledge of the underhand dealings by SAP’s senior most executives.

Eric Goldman, a professor of law at Santa Clara University noted that the verdict was a dream-come-true for Oracle.

Countess Dracula Passes On

The actress’ death comes in the wake of the death of her former director in the film ‘Vampire Lovers’, Roy Ward Baker who died at the age of 93.

Pitt who is widely acclaimed for her role as Countess Dracula was reminisced by many as a superb actress. Thereafter she starred in several other Hammer movies, cutting a niche for herself as one of the women to watch in British Horror during the 70s. These movies include ‘The Wicker Man, Who Dares Wins, Smiley People and Wild Geese II. Apart from appearing at horror conventions, Pitt wrote several books on her career in the horror film industry.

Crime Scene Investigation Taken to a Whole New Level

The developed method exploits T-cells, which are a feature of immune cells found in blood and play a significant role in identification of foreign matter such as bacteria, viruses, parasites and tumor cells. As a result of this process of recognition, small circular DNA molecules known as TCR excision circles (sjTREC) are produced.

These molecules reduce at a constant rate with age. The researchers, who published their findings in the journal, Current Biology’ say that this process can be manipulated to indicate the age of a human being accurately.

An allowance of nine years is given on the estimated age which allows placement of individuals within generational categories.

The prediction of human phenotypes, that is, outward physical traits, is a field in forensics that is arising each day. According to the lead author of the report, Manfred Kayser of the Erasmus MC University Medical Center in Rotterdam, the test exhibited the highest accuracy of any previously formulated test to judge human phenotypic traits.

He went on to say that the fact that current DNA profiling only matches the DNA of known individual posed a problem where the sample collected did not match that of a suspect or of anyone in a criminal database. In such cases this method will come handy to find unknown individuals.

In a statement by Sally Quillian Yates, the USA Attorney said that the convict subjected the girls to physical torture, slavery and forced prostitution.

The jury which took one day to reach a verdict, found him guilty as charged and he now awaits sentencing. It is expected that he will receive a life-imprisonment sentence.

Meg McCain, Doesn't Think Sarah Palin can Make Good President

She said this during Miami Book Trade Fair as she was busy marketing her book “Dirty Sexy Politics”. The numbers of people who want her services have been on the rise and are confident of having a Republican person in the White House come the next elections. She knows getting Obama from office will not be an easy thing and she is ready for a grueling battle for the coveted hot seat.

The young McCain has not been having things go her way within the party she supports in terms of people believing in her, she remained adamant that the Obama administration has been basically ineffective and had outlived its importance.

She thought that her father’s choice of a running mate was suicidal; she said Sara Palin did not have the qualities needed of a presidential material. Sarah Palin was not accepted in the party and many thought she was too tender to make an impact in the election of her father to the oval office. It was regrettable.

The stuff happening in the Republican Party with some people saying they doubted if the young McCain will be supportive of the Sara Palin candidature in the next general elections. To add to the confusion is the fact that she has repeatedly said she belonged to the “Team Romney”.

She strongly holds that Sara Palin does not have the qualities to be the American President in that she is simply too immature to lead. She has what Meghan McCain described as polarizing figure and a disadvantage to the Republicans.

The challenge will have him get to know and feel the struggles his people are going through and get better way of having them live and face the challenges. Giving hope is the rule of the game.

Clarke was elected to Congress on a Democratic Party ticked and had to beat the Republican Party candidate Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick in the just concluded mid-elections. He has been on orientation and is promising to give his best to have the voters they never misplaced their trust in him.

Job creation remains top of the agenda for those within and without his districts and make businesses more profitable for his constituents.

The funny thing is that his way of doing things sounds more Republican than Democratic. He believes that this will help his constituents get back on their feet; by working with employers.

The good thing is that the actions are a clear indication of what the government needs to do in bridges for the sake of economy and the whole country. He does not care which side of the House he seats and will let his ideas, emotions, and energy do the talking.

The governor remains hopeful that the Republicans will be successful and have a good time in the governorship campaign. He is sure that majority of American States will be governed by Republicans come the redistricting next year. Governors play a key role in the redistricting process in 46 states, thus the winners of the gubernatorial elections will leave such a big mark in the political scene for ages.

Next year mark a redistricting year and politicians and leaders are expected to have good debates on federalism, balance of power and what the real meaning of the Tenth Amendment in modern time and if it remained relevant in its current form.

For starters this is the amendment, found in the constitution, that means the states rights are supreme and any law that is inconsistency with them is null and void to the extent of its inconsistency, even from the federal government.

The governor is adamant that every state should be given the space to have the policies it thinks are good for them as the state government find it impossible to know what is good for all the states.

Those who designed the federal system had the idea of having a government closer to the people but the practice is not satisfactory to most governors.

CSC Good Tide

The company is supposed to provide secure and non- secure networks, data centers, desktops and other services in a deal that has a year base and a four year rolling agreement that is worth a whooping $280 million. The thing that works for the company in beating its competitors is the fact that it has been a government contractor and to add to that subcontracting is going a long way in having the company expand its scope and getting more clients.

The company has been busy in recent days; it has another deal with the Navy, where it is to provide software maintenance and engineering services at the body to the cost of $42 million. This will be based at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. This is a year long contract with the option of extending it for another year.

While the company business to the mainstream has been flourishing the outsourcing sector has been disappointing. The downward spiral seems unstoppable.

The company also has an issue with the reduced bookings and government delay in the order of placement.
The pressure from the government, accounts for about 40% of the total revenue, is understandable in that the government has had to tighten its budget in its pursuit of the financial deficit. This combined with the fact that the current administration has been stringent in the defense department has had a devastating effect on the business sector.

The company in the future has plans to expand its acquisition base as Computer Science is on the rise, and the economic recovery will be such a booster. The company also looks to have the middle class within its grasp.

NBA Rookies

The negotiations have taken more than a year and an end seems to be far away as no major breakthrough has been achieved. The league wants the players to have their salaries slashed but the players are saying no.

The salary cuts the players argue are too big and unfair as it has a cup. The current system has no cup but exceptions.

Why should we change what has been so productive? The players ask and the salaries have been going down in the last three years added to the fact that the projections show that the revenues are on the rise.

They all agree something needs to change but are not yet sure what it is, but one thing is sure; not the current deal.

The players made a proposal in July but are yet to have a feedback on it. It is believed the players’ deal is a good one and has been accepted by some owners while others have been uncooperative.

Both parties are also in agreement that a deal must be struck by February and avoid a similar scenario like that of 1998 of first work stoppage. The players are sure that were it for the stubbornness of the owners a deal can be struck long before then, just get a reasonable deal.

On a lighter note the NBPA plans to distribute turkeys to over 8,000 families to all NBA cities. This has already happened in some the rest will soon to be reached.
