Millions of sweet friendship poems and quotes was sent in the last hours via sms, email or through the traditional snail mail. The United States Congress proclaimed the first Sunday of August as the National Friendship Day. It was in 1935, but since then it became an annual event, especially for the youth generations. Many other countries adopted step by step the tradition of dedicating a day to the concept of friendship.

Friendship day warmed up people, helping to remember their friends, but it is also a commercial event. Our society encourages us to become independent, but if we really want to be more effective and happy we need to become more interdependent.

Is there anything necessarily wrong with a competitor fighting in an individual game, but the most exciting competitions, attracting most audience, are the team games. We need to work more in teams and less on our own.
