Gallup Poll Shows Republicans Top Democrats

ObamaOn Thursday, a brand new Gallup poll had the Republicans moving ahead of the Democrats. This news does not hold well for the Democrats. Forty Seven percent of polled voters said they would vote for a Republican while forty four percent said they would vote for a Democrat.

These poll results show that Republicans have strong support if midterms were held today. Gallup polling shows Republicans usually vote more than Democrats. Voter preferences would probably outweigh what the results would be.

In Gallup’s sixty-year history this is extremely rare to have this happen among voters. Mr. Jones stated in the history of tracking voting preferences, this has happened only three times. In those years, the Republicans were strong during Election Day.

The Gallup poll shows a huge increase in voter enthusiasm due to the health care reform bill passage. It is not entirely blaming the Democrats. The poll shows that Democrats think they need to pass health care reform in November to keep their original ideas motivated.
