General McChrystalThe London Telegraph has reported General Stanley McChrystal has submitted his resignation to the White House. He plans to retire according to the comments McChrystal has made. He recently spoke to Rolling Stone Magazine. During that interview he criticized both his own boss and the entire Obama administration for insubordination. Many speculate that President Obama pressured McCrystal to resign/retire after such comments were made.

It is no secret that Obama hasn’t been impressed with the negative media attention McCrystal has been involved with in the past. This latest information is nothing new when it comes to him showing his disdain for certain areas of the leaders of the United States. There are also issues with McChrystal not working with the media unless it is to project his own hidden agenda.

A few months ago Michael Yon, a very respected voice in the media, was kicked out by McChrystal’s staff. Many speculate this is because he has always been very fair in his reporting. He wouldn’t have given McChrystal the punch he was looking for. Of course the official reason given was that Yon had to do so that there was space for other journalists.

The fact that the interviewer from Rolling Stones magazine was with the General for a two week period definitely gives off the impression that there was a hidden agenda with it. While McChrystal did wonders as a leader in Afghanistan, his antics in the media have made him a liability.
